BUS RULES
Ruth Fisher Bus Rules:

1. The driver is in charge of the bus and is to be obeyed at all times.

2. Remain in your seat until the bus is completely stopped before departing.

3. When entering the bus, take a seat and remain in that seat.

4. Keep your feet off the seats.

5. No yelling, screaming or foul language.

6. Absolutely no fighting or horseplay.

7. Keep your hands and feet out of the aisle.

8. Do not throw objects of any kind on the floor, seats, at other passengers, or out the windows of the bus.

9. When the bus is stopped at a railroad crossing, a stop sign or at an intersection, there must be silence before the bus can proceed.

10. If a child is to get off the bus at a place other than his/her regular stop, the child must bring a completed
"Change In Transportation Request" form to the office. This form will then be delivered to the driver.

11. Keep all parts of the body inside the bus except when you are departing.

12. When waiting for the bus, line up parallel to the road to board the bus.
Do Not Push!

13. Do not deface the bus in any manner.

14. No consumption of food or drinks is allowed.

15. No glass objects are allowed on the bus.

No toys are to be brought to school from home.

17. Students are not allowed to bring any pets or insects onto the bus.

18. All items brought onto the bus should be contained.

No sports equipment is to be brought to school from home, other than a baseball glove.
PENALTIES FOR BUS RULES VIOLATIONS
First offense
Warning by bus driver

Second offense
See Dean Of Students

Third offense
Loss of two days bus riding

Fourth offense
Loss of one week bus riding

Fifth offense
Indefinite suspension of bus riding
BUS RIDING PRIVILEGES
Riding a school bus is a privilege and should be treated as such. Students riding district buses are expected to follow the guidelines for bus riders. Any student who does not behave appropriately on the bus may lose bus privileges for a period of time or for the entire school year.
